Day 5 and 6 Indigenous procurement policy fact finding tour Remote W.A.
9th August, 2018
PSGH in collaboration with CSIRO started a journey together nearly 2 years ago, to find a solution that would add value to the local Indigenous community and deliver value for money to the Commonwealth, at their Boolardy Camp, which houses CSIRO staff and contractors servicing the Murchison Radio Astronomy. PSGH was contracted to deliver full camp services which includes site management, accommodation bookings, cleaning, ground maintenance and catering. Our relationship and the results we achieved together in relation to employment of Indigenous staff and service delivery has seen our existing contract extended. Our indigenous employment numbers are outstanding with over 65% of our staff being Indigenous.
Whats more pleasing is our retention rate of our staff, Eveanna Cross, has been with PSGH since the contract began and she continues to shine and develop.
Mark's west coast visit has confirmed that the IPP is working strongly and achieving the results we all want to see (JOBS). Next stops Townsville, Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney to round off the trip, after which Mark will give a complete wrap of our results.
