Program: October 2016 – present
On the 1st of October 2016 PSG Holdings commenced the Facility Management contract with CSIRO at Boolardy Station, located in the Murchison region in Western Australia. Up to 30 personnel support the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory (MRO); for the CSIRO scientists and engineers that are working onsite, it needs to be a home away from home.
PSG Holdings manage catering of all meals onsite, including full buffet breakfasts each morning, morning tea and lunch options, with a buffet style dinner menu that also allows for ‘off the grill’ ordering.
In addition to catering services, the PSG Holdings team provide cleaning and maintenance to support the accommodation facilities.
PSG Holdings are excited with the prospect of helping build future capability for the local Indigenous community and support the Boolardy Accommodation Facility and the 300,00Ha property within and around the local area.
Currently the MRO is home to 36 radio telescopes that survey the skies for radio frequencies in deep space. CSIRO are planning to make an expansion to the site in 2018/2019 with the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) under development.
